If you own an Alpine then there is only one real choice when upgrading the original stereo!

Alpine has a well deserved reputation as the industry-leading manufacturer of high performance mobile electronics.

In addition they produce the best interface that retains the full functionality of the existing GTA and A610 stalk controls. This interface works with all of their current head-units and many of their older models. It is identified by a small 3.5mm jack plug on the back of the head unit.

In order to retain functionality of the existing stalk controller you will need both the KCE840B Renault & multi-use interface and the KWE842E adaptor harness.

If you replace the original radio, you can still retain the clock which will work independently.

If you fit a single DIN unit and retain the existing metal surround you will be left with an unsightly gap to fill above the radio. Autoleads have a universal DIN pocket (Available in Halfords as a blister pack labelled universal or Volvo 740/760 - same part) that fits well. They also do a 3CD holder in the same range.

A modern double DIN unit will of course fill the space completely. Pioneer manufacture a suitable unit.

The neatest solution is to fit the original Renault fascia adaptor (item 1).

You can then fit 2 single DIN units or a single DIN unit and a pocket (available separately). You will also need a Renault clock or blanking plate to fill the small hole.

The clock is available in analogue and digital versions.

The in car entertainment market is fiercely competitive and it is uneconomical for us to stock a full range of Alpine units.
